positive reflections to hold on to
Jan. 24th, 2006 10:04 amMy manager came into my cubicle today. For the 1st time in her voting life, she didn't vote Tory. She made me so proud when she went on about it being about human rights and nothing else. Ron and I take full credit for it! :p
I largely agree with the belief that governments aren't voted in but rather previous governments are voted out. I think the Tories inability to get a majority speaks volume to the desire of most Canadians to keep a socialyl left of centre government even through some very problematic revelation of fiscal matters. People aren't happy with the Grits at this point in time, but the Conservative have far from won over any sort of majority of Canadians. I think as soon as the Grits have elected a new leader, we will see some serious plans to take down the 39th parliament of this country.
On a sidenote: I was very disappointed by Bif Naked last night. Her one line comment that was just irrelevant (IMHO) just made me shake my head. she had a chance to say something intelligent, and instead she came across as a ditzy rockstar. *sigh*
