Dear US folks,
Oct. 16th, 2006 04:22 pmI'm in need of an ally to get a point across. I wrote a post spazzing about US-centrism in ftm communities (though by no means is it limited to those forums but I thought it was a place to start)

If you scroll to the bottom, you'll see one US person who's clearly not getting it. What I impulsively wanted to reply would not have lead to productive dialogue so I thought better of it. Anyone willing to pitch in 2 cents? Claiming that "tyranny of the majority" is how democracy works is just painful to me. I know it's what often happens (and by no means it is specific to the US), but it
1) doesn't make it right
2) isn't always the case
3) doesn't justify its occurence
