This post should at a minimum give [profile] 1nstant_karmaa good idea of what I referring to last time we spoke on the phone.
I hope everyone remembers that I love my friends because they challenge me, force me to revisit my own principles (sometimes even changing them!) and pry open my mind to consider new concepts all the time. I'm in love with intellectual intercourse so I can't help but be honoured and be very grateful to each of you for "doing it" with me.

[info]slate_canada posted an autotrader.ca ad on [community profile] feminist. Discussion lead to [profile] crafting_changeadmitting to a disdain for Adbusters. As any of my NDP voting friends can tell you, I'm a "bad" (queer tranny) activist. I work for a major corporation, I love to cook meat, I prefer FPTP to MMP and I'm knee deep in class privilege. Before scorn begins for posting the passage below from The Rebel Sell: Why the culture can't be jammed, know that minus a 2 month stunt (which [profile] rope4playcan attess was not a decision made by a sober mind), I haven't had cable or listened to a radio in 8 years (and I don't resort to youtube or equivalents). I was given (without solicitation) my most recent game consol (a playstation 1), the Ipod I discarded after the warranty ran out as well as my current cell  phone. I went ~5 years without a cell but it became necessary for my job and txtng is mighty useful when you're in a long distance relationship. As many of you remind me often, I leave it off whenever possible because I don't like being that accessible.
