The T.E.A.C.H program of Planned Parenthood uses an anti-oppression approach to deliver anti-homophobia peer education workshops in high schools and community settings across the City of Toronto.
We're looking for youth volunteers 15-23 years old!!!!
What's in it for you?
- free training including learning public speaking, facilitation, and
organizational skills
(skills you can use in many jobs)
- a chance to work with an amazing group of youth volunteers
- a chance to educate around issues of homophobia, transphobia and
heterosexism
- tokens and $$ for every workshop you facilitate
- lots of support
What do you put in?
- a one year volunteer commitment that includes completing 25 hours of
training in October/November
- facilitating at least one workshop per month
- attending debrief meetings
- a willingness to work with and learn from others
